Bentonite granulare BEGRAN
General characteristics BEGRAN® is a granular sodium-activated bentonite obtained from a particular reagglomeration process allowing a great ease of use for the prompt dissolution and for the almost complete absence of dust during handling, considerably increasing the dispersing power, the properties colloidal and, therefore, the yield in clarification (high deproteinizing power). BEGRAN® also intervenes on the reduction of polyphenol-oxidases (tyrosinase, etc...) and on the reduction of the risks of protein and cupric casse. Thanks to its particular microporous structure, BEGRAN® has a very fast swelling capacity in water (30 - 50%), with a much lower initial lump formation than in the powder version.
Methods of use
Disperse in cold water or room temperature in a ratio of 1:10, with vigorous stirring, until a homogeneous suspension is obtained. Leave the solution (gel) to rest and swell for a few hours (from a minimum of 6 to approximately 12 hours). Mix again and add to the mass to be treated.
Dosage
40 - 80 g/hl for musts and wines. Preliminary laboratory tests are recommended, verifying the deproteinizing power (bentotest) and the decolorizing function (DO420 and DO520). Also carry out an organoleptic test.
